5kV 750 Joule Surge Generator

The SG7505 surge generator generates voltages between 3 or 5 KV and is typically used in the location of faults in low voltage networks such as street lighting networks.

The maximum storage energy of the capacitor is 270 J at 3KV and 750 J at 5KV. All surge generators generate high voltages from the mains supply voltage, which is rectified and used to charge capacitors, which are in turn discharged into a faulty cable at set intervals.
