PCMx Pipeline Coating and Cathodic Protection Survey System
Radiodetection’s PCMx system enables corrosion and Cathodic Protection System (CPS) professionals to evaluate the condition and effectiveness of pipeline coatings.
The system allows users to locate coating faults and holidays, as well as identify shorts caused by contact with other structures. Its portable 25 W transmitter represents a significant advancement in portability and ease of use.
Preventative Maintenance and Asset Protection
PCMx enables pipeline managers to identify and prioritize preventative maintenance requirements, helping extend asset life by identifying potential sources of corrosion at an early stage.
ACCA and ACVG Surveys
The PCMx system can be used to conduct ACCA and ACVG surveys in accordance with ANSI/NACE SP0502-2010 – Standard Practice for Pipeline External Corrosion Direct Assessment Methodology.
These surveys can be conducted separately or simultaneously to locate and pinpoint coating defects, as well as identify shorts caused by contact with other structures.
RD8100PDLG Pipe and Cable Locator
By removing the detachable foot, the PCMx becomes a fully featured RD8100PDLG pipe and cable locator.
The system also captures depth of cover and GPS positional data, providing valuable information for pipeline surveys, asset management, and maintenance planning.
